Forgotten Cinema: Marketa Lazarova

One of the most neglected films in all of cinema history, Marketa Lazarova has few equals. Grossly under appreciated and widely unseen, here, in Cine Autopsis' first "Forgotten Cinema" post, are images from Frantisek Vlacil's masterpiece of medieval humanism, the Czech epic Marketa Lazarova.

Forgotten Cinema will highlight film treasures both rarely seen and spoken of with an emphasis on the image.
